FREE TOOLGSTR-2B vs Purchase Register Matcher (Excel)
GSTR-2B और खरीद रजिस्टर का मिलान: छूटे बिल, बिल नंबर / तारीख / राशि का अंतर
Pick the GSTR-2B Excel downloaded from the GST portal and your purchase register Excel. See bills missing in books, bills not in 2B, and bill no., date or amount differences, supplier by supplier. Files are read in your browser and never uploaded.
1. GSTR-2B Excel
GST portal > Returns > GSTR-2B > Download Excel. The B2B sheet is picked automatically.
2. Purchase register
Excel or CSV with supplier GSTIN, bill no., bill date, taxable value and tax. From BUSY, open the GST purchase report and press Alt+E to export to Excel.
Matching is on supplier GSTIN + bill no. (ignoring spaces, slashes, dashes and leading zeros). A bill left over is matched again on GSTIN + amounts + nearby date and shown as "Bill no. differs". Only the B2B sheet is compared; check credit notes (B2B-CDNR) separately.
What to do with each result
| Result | Action |
|---|---|
| In GSTR-2B, not in books | Get the bill, check it is genuine and received, enter it in BUSY |
| In books, not in GSTR-2B | Do not claim yet; follow up with the supplier to upload it |
| Bill no. differs | Correct the bill no. in books to the supplier's |
| Amount differs | Check freight, discount, rate or IGST vs CGST/SGST; ask for a credit / debit note |
| Date differs | Correct the bill date; check the month in which credit is taken |
Post the missing bills into BUSY automatically
Bharat GST Champ does this matching inside BUSY 21 from the GSTR-2A / 2B data BUSY already downloads, and posts the missing bills as purchase vouchers after you confirm. Full method: GSTR-2B reconciliation in BUSY.
Questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool reads the Excel files inside your browser; nothing is sent to our server or anyone else.
Which GSTR-2B file does it need?
The Excel file downloaded from the GST portal (Returns > GSTR-2B > Download Excel). The B2B sheet is used. A CSV also works.
My purchase register columns have different names. Will it work?
Yes. The tool guesses the columns and shows them; change any column from the drop-down lists before matching.
Does it work with old .xls files?
Save the file as .xlsx or .csv in Excel first.
