Error 3343 means BUSY could not read the company database file. According to BUSY's help, the usual causes are:
- Network trouble: an unstable LAN or a slow link to the server PC
- Firewall or antivirus blocking the data folder
- A damaged database file, often after a power cut or a network drop while saving
Do this first
Copy the data folder
Make a full copy of the company folder before trying anything. Never delete files from it.
Check the network
On a client PC, try opening the company on the server PC itself. If it opens there, the problem is the LAN or sharing, not the data.
Antivirus exception
Add the BUSY program and data folders to your antivirus exclusions.
